Dr. Hisham Abouzeid is a highly qualified Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with over 25 years of experience in women’s health and surgical procedures. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRCOG) and holds advanced qualifications in laparoscopic, hysteroscopic, and gynaecological ultrasonography.
After earning his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery in 1983, Dr. Abouzeid went on to complete a Master’s degree in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, followed by an MSc in Advanced Gynaecological Endoscopy from The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. His extensive clinical experience spans over three decades in both the UK and Egypt, with over 30 years spent within the NHS.
Dr. Abouzeid’s career includes key roles in several prestigious hospitals, including The Teaching Hospital of the University of Cambridge, where he served as a Specialist Registrar. In 2007, he was appointed as a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, specialising in colposcopy, gynaecological oncology, and minimally invasive surgery.
In 2017, he became the Lead Consultant for Gynaecological Oncology and Colposcopy services at Pennine Acute Hospital NHS Trust, Manchester, and was later appointed as a core member of the Endometriosis Centre team within the same Trust.

Alongside his clinical work, Dr. Abouzeid has made notable academic contributions, publishing several clinical papers and conducting peer reviews for the British Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He also serves as a preceptor for Advanced Training Skills modules in Benign Abdominal Surgery, Gynaecological Oncology, Laparoscopic Surgery, and Colposcopy at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG).
